My manual on how to use Linux for home and office. I explain everything
from the very beginning, show screenshots of everything, include Linux
philosophy to show you how to be more productive by working less and automating
more and using whatever works. You won't find this in any other manual
or any book you find because I use the best of KDE 1.1, GNOME 1.0, X windows,
and console programs wherever they work best. Other books are going to
just be on KDE, GNOME, or the console and will require you to determine
what to weed out and what not to. Although mine is only 50 pages, it will
give you the information that you might find in a thousand page book. I
am not trying to make money off of it in any way, so I am not trying to
push anything on you. I also include direct links to all the programs I
describe. I recommend the SuSE Linux
distribution, because they are best for home and office use. They will
have the latest drivers for bleeding edge 3d accelerators, keep the most
up to date on important things like K office and GNOME, and are higher
quality than Redhat. They are also the choice of hardcore Linux users.
I am also delightfully sarcastic and frank too.
